I have a camera with me everywhere I go. When I am out walking or spending time with friends and family I just carry the Fuji X-T1 with two lenses, one wide and one portrait lens. Everything fits in a small bag that looks like a purse and it is all I need to capture candid moments.
“From the American Masters Series, this outstanding documentary on Richard Avedon was originally aired in 1995. It’s an intimate, hour-and-a-half long journey into the mind of one of the most important photographers of the 20th century.”
Even though it feels like it’s never going to warm up these days, putting my sweaters away on the weekend got me dreaming of spring time. Of all seasons, spring has remained my favorite time of the year.
Test shoots are a great way to meet new talent as well as practice your skills. As much as we all enjoy the flooded with information internet there is no better way to learn than practice. The more you test shoot the better you get with your lighting, posing and ability to spot and solve problems as they emerge.
Every season a different decade influences the runway. After Mercedes Benz fashion week it is clear the 70s are back in style not only for Spring/Summer but also for Fall/Winter 2015. The signature pieces include wide-leg pants (petite girls like me couldn’t be happier), maxi dresses, jumpsuits, fringe, suede, platform shoes, and big and bold patterns.
As much as I love being behind the camera, sometimes I have to step in front of it as well. I had to create a couple personal portraits to feature on my updated “about me page”. It is important to have a good representation online and give potential clients an idea who you are prior to meeting in person.
